Siow Lee Chin Plays William Grant Still's 'Suite for Violin and Piano' in Singapore Nov. 18

Catch critically-acclaimed Singaporean violinist Siow Lee Chin in her homecoming concert, performing solo masterworks and chamber music including works by Wieniawski, William Grant Still, Richard Strauss, Amy Beach and Beethoven. Visiting Artist at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Lee Chin is on sabbatical from the College of Charleston, South Carolina, where she is Director of Strings and Professor of Violin. Gold medal winner the 1994 Henryk Szeryng International Violin Competition and the 1994 Louise D. McMahon International Music Competition for Strings, Lee Chin will also be joined by award-winning artists from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory including cellist Qin Li-Wei and pianists Albert Tiu and Bernard Lanskey.” In addition to William Grant Still's Suite for Violin and Piano, the program will include works of Beethoven, Richard Strauss, Handel-Halvorsen, Amy Beach and Wieniawski.
