Dr. Fred Onovwerosuoke of African Musical Arts, Inc. tells AfriClassical there is “Much going on, Bill.” His current news, he says, “...is the much-awaited publication of my Twenty-Four Studies in African Rhythms - Volume II, announced on the American Composers Forum website and available through the African Music Publishers. Other news going to press this week is the Artist Roster for the 2010/2011 Season of our Intercultural Music Initiative.” "FredO," as friends call him, promises more details on this and other activities in the near future.

Spurred by January 25 historic premiere by Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra's pianist Peter Henderson, composer Fred Onovwerosuoke has finally completed the second set of rhythm studies, Twenty-Four Studies in African Rhythms-Volume II. These piano studies have also been transcribed for violin/cello, flute/cello, flute choir, string trio and a variety combination of chamber musicians. World premiere concert of entire 24 studies (in Volumes I & II) is scheduled for the fall. Peter Henderson, pianist.”
