Dominique-René de Lerma on Lawrence Brownlee singing Rossini: 'His performance is a very great thrill'

Earlier today, Nov. 11, 2011, AfriClassical posted: “High Praise for tenor Lawrence Brownlee from soprano Sarah Coburn on 'The Opera Diva Series.'” Prof. Dominique-René de Lerma, http://www.CasaMusicaledeLerma.com, responds:

“I remember when I first heard Marilyn Horne sing Rossini - it was an incredible experience and a very great joy. I have recently heard Mr. Brownlee for the first time, again with music of Rossini. I am equally astonished and tremendously delighted. His performance is a very great thrill. He has a valid claim to full ownership of this entire repertoire.”
