On Sunday, February 26 at 3 pm, in honor of Black History Month, Kellogg Community College will present Two Sistas and a Brotha: A Celebration of African America Art Songs & Spirituals in KCCs Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center Auditorium, located at 450 North Avenue in Battle Creek.

The concert will feature works by such notable composers as H. Leslie Adams, Margaret Bonds, Florence Price, and Dominic Dousa. Much of the music will feature the texts of great African American poets such as Langston Hughes, Paul Lawrence Dunbar and Leslie Morgan Collins. The featured artist includes sopranos, Alfrelynn Roberts and Carmen Bell the two sistas and Dr. Gerald Blanchard, baritone the brotha. Accompanying the vocalists will be KCC keyboard faculty members, Nancy Brown and Sara Cleland.”
